Current Stage: Game Design and Planning

Progress

I have outlined the story for the entire game, which is in three acts. I'll initially call them 1) The Forest; 2) The Tower; 3) The Exorcism.

I have created a list of all screens I think I'll need for the game. My favourite at the moment is a screen with two rival (and petty) vendors of medieval apothecary equipment. It's pretty funny, even in its current crude draft form.

I have also designed the puzzles in detail for acts 1 and 2. That means the logic has been worked out for all of them - so hopefully no nasty surprises when I go to code them. The pig-based puzzle should be fun.

Next Steps

Act 3 puzzle designs to be completed. The ideas are in place - I just need to check they are logical. There is one with a mean priest that is borderline absurd - we'll see if that survives in its present form.

Additional

This is my new progress format. I have now begun a structured project plan, after months of vaguely messing around with graphics, ideas, puzzles. As always with me, we'll see if I keep this up!
