Week 18 - 17th November 2024


Not much of an update this week. 

I've put in background animations, which really make it feel more alive. I moved a couple of characters around for plot reasons, tightened up the hut scene between Edda and the man and ensured the opening ridgeway section gives you information quickly and naturally.

The fact is, my 14 hours per week on Edda are not going to look like much on a weekly vlog now. Not until I start on entirely new areas. 

Act 1 is my sole focus and you've seen it all. Very few surprises remain (until you play it).

So two points I will make here:
1 - I am now working on the Adventure Game Jam for two weeks. So hopefully in 2 weeks there will be a surprise new game to play.

2 - I might only do a devlog every month for a while after that. The game is coming along, but it will take time. It's a huge undertaking for me, given I have a full-time job, a family, pets, limited skills and limited creative energy. I'm grinding away at Edda slowly, and every night is seeing progress, but it's not progress that's easy to explain or demonstrate.

So I might go monthly, or I might update when there is something to actually say.
