My original intention was to have partial voicing for this game. In fact, it was my intention until very recently. The characters would say one or two words, or a sentence, just to add some feel to what their text was saying.

Full voicing

However, I have abandoned this idea and the game is to be fully voiced. I have decided to do this using some text-to-speech software. By changing the accent, "person", pitch and speed of each voice, I have been able to get the entire script voiced by computer.

Is it really natural sounding? No. Obviously not. It sounds very stilted in places. 

What I intend to do is finished everyone's lines, and then I will test the game and note any line readings I don't love. I can then manipulate these lines and quite easily drop them in as replacements. 

Android

I'm going to cautiously say the game will be playable on Android with touch controls. It won't be as official as the itch.io download process - you will have to download the AGS Player APK and then copy the game files over to your phone. But that's literally all - it's really simple. However, it's not tested and it's nowhere near the top priority right now.

Remaining Work

+ The full voicing is a great addition, but it has caused a rather large anomaly in the dialogue within the game. It's an easy, but long, fix.

+ The soundtrack isn't started yet. Honestly, I'm really confident I can do this quickly. I've got lots of unused music - I just need to make decisions on what kind of genre I want it to be and do I make it sound retro or modern?

+ Mouth animations - some of the newer characters haven't got moving mouths or eyes yet. 

+ Credits - The title screen is actually done, and I really am proud of it, but the credits are not yet done. I'll get around to it.

There's probably other things. I'm sure they'll make themselves apparent soon enough. But you can see the game is within weeks of release, barring some weird issues I haven't discovered yet.
